On November 8, 2022, CDB Leasing and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the purchase of 50 C919 aircraft and a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) at the 14th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition. The signing ceremony was participated by General Manager of COMAC Zhao Yuerang, Deputy General Manager and Chief Accountant of COMAC Wu Yongliang, and Chair of CDB Leasing Ma Hong.
In September 2022, the C919 aircraft, a new-generation trunk jetliner independently developed by China, obtained the type certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), marking a milestone in China’s large aircraft development. According to the Chair of CDB Leasing Ma Hong, as a subsidiary of China Development Bank, CDB Leasing has aligned with the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress, regarding “enhancing national strength and improving people’s livelihood” as its duty. It is supporting the realization of national development strategies by collaborating with the China Development Bank to facilitate COMAC in R&D, manufacturing and global sales of homemade aircraft. CDB Leasing will engage in comprehensive cooperation with COMAC in such areas as the introduction, global market exploitation, all-process asset management, financing market research, value assessment and exchange of human resources regarding such passenger jets. These will help COMAC score success in domestically developed aircraft.
