On December 24, CDB Aviation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDB Leasing, delivered a C919 aircraft to China Eastern Airlines (CEA) in Shanghai. This inaugural C919 delivery by CDB Leasing represents the Company’s growing involvement in civil aviation and illustrates the deeper integration of financial services with advanced manufacturing in China’s commercial aircraft industry.
Designed in line with prevailing international airworthiness standards, the C919 is China’s first domestically developed jetliner with independent intellectual property rights. Following its commercial debut with CEA in May 2023, the recent delivery—enabled by close collaboration among CDB Leasing, CEA, and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC)—demonstrates the vital role of financial leasing in facilitating the handover and commercial deployment of aircraft, and lays a solid financial foundation for the C919’s future large-scale operations and market expansion.

As a pioneer in market-oriented and international aviation leasing in China, CDB Leasing has consistently aligned with national strategies, with its leasing business covering 42 countries and regions worldwide. Looking forward, the Company will deepen its partnership with COMAC. By harnessing cross-border capital and global customer networks, the two sides will jointly build a business model that combines industrial chains and finance to drive overseas expansion. Through the model, CDB Leasing will provide lifecycle financial services for Chinese commercial aircraft, enhancing their presence in global markets and ultimately advancing China’s goal of becoming a leading country in aviation.
